3. Never seen such a lopsided poll on MSRNC...
Edited on Fri Apr-07-06 08:20 PM by UCLA02
...and they usually only ask loaded questions that the fundies can feel good answering.

FINALLY!

8. OT: UCLA02, I went there in 1959-60. Sorry about that basketball game...
I finished at the University of Miami, so just naturally couldn't root for the Florida Gators... although I lived in Florida for almost 30 years.

Have a great weekend! I do believe things are looking UP. Do you????

16. Yup, there's always next year...
...and 2008, of course, but for other reasons!

You have a great weekend, yourself! Thanks.

24. Done. No kidding!
NINETY-FOUR percent.

Stunning. I've not often seen poll results that lopsided.

Can anybody say... TIPPING POINT?

BTW - What was REALLY telling to me last night (well, wee hours this morning) was the rerun of Lou Dobbs on CNN. REALLY telling, because he had bill schneider (that senior fellow with the American Enterprise Institute and wrong-wing vipers' nest) who is always referred to on-air as an innocuous political commentator. You should have seen his face! Holy CRAP! That face! It didn't even look like him! I was seriously jolted by that. I've NEVER seen him look this somber and serious. Usually he's got the demeanor of a mild-ish wise ass, always a little devilish twinkle in his eye and an impish little smirk on his lips, usually looking pretty smug because he can always come up with something to "analyze" that makes republi-CONS look good and Dems look bad. There clearly was NOTHING he could do to spin it positively for bush. NOTHING. He'd certainly give it a good try if there was. Hell, he looked like a frickin' UNDERTAKER. He looked as though 9-11 had happened to him personally and had wiped out his entire family and everybody he knew. He didn't even look like himself. And he didn't brighten up during his on-camera spot, either. Not at all. I watched and waited for it, too, throughout his report. And it never came. He never brightened up AT ALL.

He was a somber as a funeral, looking seriously as though he had personally just been given some VERY bad news. It was quite stunning. And he actually said that this looks bad for the White House, because it looks like this was done for political reasons - emphasis on the word "political," which he used - and in THAT specific context. Lou Dobbs then asked him - even in the light of this being supposedly a president's right to do this - "doesn't this just smell to high heaven?" And schneider could do nothing but agree, still somber as an undertaker, and adding that, whatever technicality appears to let bush off the hook as far as what his executive power allows him to do, the public was bound to view this as "extremely devious." AND, best of all, schneider made the additional point that this smacks bush in the face as far as his "image" as being honest and trustworthy and straightforward, qualities that, as schneider put it, "got him elected after Clinton." He didn't even smile again at the end of his report when he threw it back to Dobbs. I have NEVER seen such a long face on him. He looked like he'd just gotten a call from the Highway Patrol that his kid had been busted for drunken driving, or worse. Like I said, it was really a marvel. It completely threw me. For a split second, I didn't even realize it was him. He did NOT look like himself.

Looks like he knows his pal in the Oval Office is in deep doo-doo - and getting deeper all the time. He was NOT a happy camper.

11. OT: Hey, Proud Patriot. I migrated to Firefox/Mozilla browser yesterday.
No more problems with my journal!

Interesting browser with lots of functions I'll have to learn about.

But then, we started with Netscape --- moved to I E --- and (a bit later) it's Firefox.

Thanks for your help this week. I told Elad I'd still try to help with I E problems next week.

Have a great weekend!
