Me and about 100 other people just saw Chuck Brodsky in an intimate room up here in Canada.

I've seen him at Folk Festivals here a couple times too.

His new song about Bush "Liar Liar, Pants on Fire" is wicked!

He introduced it by saying he's reading George Orwell's book "1984" again right now and that everyone should read it cause it's amazing how resonant it is today.

He's an old friend of mine. I've been listening to and singing his brilliant songs since the 80's. I even briefly played with him -- Freight and Salvage in Berkeley, etc.

He's got a great ear for reality and ability to craft beautiful little vignetes of his insights.

I love the guy...

I got him to sign the CD I bought. Super nice guy. Great songs...like stories that you can lose yourself in. Really neat thing is how so many of his stories are true.
"Liar liar pants on fire" is no exception!

in the Baseball Hall of Fame. He writes some beautiful, anthemic baseball songs.

Notably, a song about Max Patkin the clown prince of baseball, and many others.


They gave him a lifetime pass to the Hall in Cooperstown for his efforts.
