I really want Colin Powell to talk to us. What happened, and why

is he so quiet? I respected him long ago, but not in this war(?). What really happened, General, and how are you culpable?

1. he sold his soul--that's what happened

and when i saw him a few months ago he was defending his position instead of saying how sorry he was.

i say screw him!

2. respect? you do know, of course, that he was one of the people

instrumental in trying to cover up MyLai? not exactly a person for whom I have ever had any respect.

3. Powell has already said he will live with the disgrace of

defending the Iraqi invasion based on his testimony of WMD mobile labs which proved utterly false for the rest of his life.

He was used big time by the GOP. They let him lecture them at the 2000 GOP convention for not recognizing problems of the black community.

He was actually suckered into believing they wanted him for his qualifications. They shot him down in every way. He doubted the war completely but was silenced.

He, indeed, played the role Belafonte said he did.

4. My point is that there is a 'moment' when you have an epiphany.

Repugs are doing it, some politicians are doing it, what about Powell? An epiphany might save him.

6. When Powell stays mum, that's when I'll believe he was bought.

Of course, that's what he's been doing.
Also, I recall recently he bought part of a 'team'. Perhaps those perks are the
benefits of silence. DAMMIT! :(

in the bush administration I trusted and he came on tv with phony maps and evil lies and pretty much got everyone to believe him and the war was on

who confused his pledge of alliance to the American People and his country as a pledge of alliance to George W. Bush.
