Russert re Kerry this morning: "48.3% of the popular vote"
Kerry (very briefly) said it was 49.2%.

Where did Russert come up with that?

1. What do you expect from Russert?
The truth? Naw... Just pull a number out of a hat and see if it flies...and then pretend like it's the truth...

4. Just looked up the info
Looks like Bush did get 50.7% of the vote -- which might suggest that the Kerry/Edwards ticket got 48.3%. However, the reality is apparently that various other 3rd party candidates got about 1%.
