2. Did you see "Street Fight" on PBS?
The Academy Award-nominated "Street Fight" covers the turbulent campaign of Cory Booker, a 32-year old Rhodes Scholar/Yale Law graduate running for mayor of Newark, N.J. against Sharpe James, the four-term incumbent twice his age. Fresh from winning awards at the SilverDocs, HotDocs and Tribeca film festivals, "Street Fight" is this year's political thriller.

Basically it was a film about Booker a Democrat rnuning against Sharpe James also a Democrat who uses machine politics to narrowly defeat Booker. Well Book is running AGAIN and with the truth behind James' tactics exposed in the documentary, Booker has a good chance of pulling it off.... It was a really captivating film.

3. Actually, Cory is going to win
he basically scared sharpe james out the race -- he withdrew about 2 weeks ago. Cory has about a 50 point lead versus his closest opponent. It's exciting - particularly because there will hopefully be a bunch of new council people.

5. That is wonderful!
Obviously I have not kept up with this race.... James should just crawl back under the rock where he came from. I was really impressed by Cory's fortitude and decency during that race.

I am surprised that Rachel Maddow didn't mention it... She apparently went to school with Cory ... maybe she covered it when I was still sleeping....
