Fox News brings in lightweight light colonel to condemn Generals
Edited on Fri Apr-14-06 03:08 PM by Neil Lisst
On Neil Cavuto. Can you imagine how many retired Generals and Colonels turned them down before they finally said "oh, hell, get that Lt. Col that will say anything we want!"

This is a retired guy who saluted a lot of generals, and may have even worked with some, and he's criticizing 3 star generals with combat experience in this war theatre recently?!

1. What Lt. Col. are you talking about?
It isn't Ollie, is it?

Ollie's continued sustenance at the teat of the VRWC is proof that we haven't done a very good job of discrediting the neocon philosophy in the past. I hope we do a better job in '09.

3. naw, this is a guy I've never seen there before
I've seen all the regular retired military guys Fox News uses, and this guy, who didn't look 45 years old, is not one of them.

They clearly had to dig deep to get this mouthpiece.

2. Next week he'll be using Privates with Dishonorable Discharges
I don't mind when News networks using former Field Grade officers for technical stuff, but using a LTC or even a COL for big picture, "strategery" stuff is pretty lame.

BTW - It is "Neal, Cavuto", or is is "Neil Cavuto"...

9. Franks KNEW when to leave - before it went to hell
Franks wanted to win the Afghanistan war, not fight the Iraq War. He wanted 2-3 times as many troops to take Iraq. Why? Because making a lightning strike to Baghdad may depose the regime, but it doesn't control the soldiers or weapons who carry on thereafter.

He knew when it was time for him to bail.
