AP: Cheney Stumps for GOP Candidates in Wash. (same old BS)
Cheney Stumps for GOP Candidates in Wash.

By DAVID AMMONS AP Political Writer

EVERETT, Wash. Apr 17, 2006 (AP)— Vice President Dick Cheney returned to the scene
of repeated frustration for Republican presidential tickets Monday, launching
a spirited defense of the beleaguered Bush administration and promoting GOP
congressional candidates.

Cheney stumped for U.S. House hopeful Doug Roulstone, a retired Navy commander,
and blistered Sen. John Kerry and other national Democrats as weak-kneed on defense.

During a 17-minute speech inside a giant hanger at Fairchild, Cheney thanked
about 500 airmen for their sacrifices in the war in Iraq.
<snip>
Cheney's speech at the base did not deviate much from standard Bush administration
defense of the war, saying the terrorist acts of Sept. 11 required a strong U.S.
response, and defending the Patriot Act and related measures as essential
to the fight.

9/11 Iraq 9/11 Iraq 9/11 Iraq...
That doesn't work anymore but they just keep trying.

1. What they won't tell you on the news
A huge number of people turned out to protest Cheney' visit to Spokane.

Dick doesn't know. They drove him in 5 minutes before protesters had planned to begin arriving. By time a crowd started to form, the Chicken VP was already inside the building.

About 20 college Republican students stood in front of the hotel with their smug smiles. They were out numbered about 50-1. The news stations focused on the republican students...lots of deceptive footage and interviews to make it appear Cheney had many supporters.

The protesters were loud. Drums, bugles, a few bands. Hundreds of signs. Lots of horns honking. News coverage barely mentioned them.

Most of the protesters waited down one street for Dick to leave. The police barricaded that street, and officers stood facing the crowd. Motorcycles were in formation to take Dick straight down the street.

As the motorcade took off, they did a U-turn and took the Chicken V.P. out a different direction. So, as far as he knows, there were no protesters at his event. They brought him in ahead of schedule before they knew the crowds would form, then drove him off in an opposite direction.

No wonder he and the little bush idiot don't have a clue. They never see the people who disagree with them. And, we pay the salaries of the police officers who make certain won't see protesters.

Land of the Free. And all that.

2. Why is this treasonous bastard going around the country fundraising?
Why is he not in jail? He must have committed about a thousand crimes since he came into office. Why is he not in jail?
