Doolittle Lawyered Up
Doolittle hired lawyer for advice on Abramoff

WASHINGTON -- Three weeks after Jack Abramoff pleaded guilty to three federal felony crimes, Rep. John Doolittle turned for legal advice concerning his own association with Abramoff to a former associate of special prosecutor Ken Starr whose legal specialties now include white-collar crime and public corruption.

According to a report filed by Doolittle's re-election campaign with the Federal Elections Commission over the weekend, the campaign on Jan. 27 retained for $10,000 the legal services of the Virginia law firm of Williams Mullen.

A Doolittle aide, Richard Robinson, said the attorney handling Doolittle's inquiry is David G. Barger. Barger is the former president of the Virginia Bar Association's criminal law section and a former assistant U.S. attorney, who later was an associate of Starr's in the Whitewater investigation.

4. Doolittle District Voter
I live in this swine's district. I hike in the American River Canyon and will fight Doolittle to the end to not allow him and his developer friends get the unneeded $5 billion Auburn Dam built. I will register as a Repug in order to vote for the Mayor of Auburn, his opponent in the Primary, a decent moderate Republican whose brother serves on the Placer County Board of Supervisors. Placer is now the most republican district in California, more than Orange County. It will be a huge uphill fight to unseat Doolittle with the numbnuts in this County (Roseville, Auburn, Granite Bay, Loomis Penryn parts of Nevada County). Hopefully he will be indicted and forced to resign before November. Not counting on that so getting out the dems and independents and if there are any moral Republicans who will vote their conscience, there might be a chance to end Doolittle careers of fleecing the Fed Treasury for his campaign contibutors.

6. Please hit the California forum with your LTTE when you finish
Here's hoping Doolittle will become the story and gets the media exposure he deserves.
