2. That is exactly what I thought
picking one is too hard. They all in their very special neocon way have hurt us pretty thoroughly.

5. Do you really think that
any of these commentators actually change anybody's mind? They just confirm what people already hold to be true.

10. More correctly..
.... they reinforce what people already hold to be true, and justify what people already hold to be true.

I dream of a future time when history looks back at these people as the scum of the earth that they are.

6. I'm surprised.
Where's Drudge? Nobody has done more to make it acceptable for journalists to ignore the ethical rules of their profession. I think it's actually a tie between Drudge and Rupert Murdoch.

7. Limbaugh, because he is the "founding father" of the current crop.
His influence goes back to the late 80s when I met my first "Dittohead". She later moved to Wyoming where I'm sure she's found enough like-"minded" morans. (NOT Slamming our progressive Wyoming brothers and sisters here. Y'all know which bunch of Wyoming residents I mean.)

His reach has been more pervasive and long-lasting than many of the newer crop (particularly the FoxNews bunch -- radio reaches places where Fox and other TV doesn't.)

Hannity is certainly on the rise to eclipse Rush, but hasn't (yet) knocked Rush off his perch as high priest of the Whackjob RW Media.

8. Ronald Reagan
He was never really a politician as such, but rather a figurehead who recited lines that were written for him; I think the term "Media Idiot" fits him perfectly, and he was certainly the most influential.

but if I hadda pick from your list, yeah, sure, Rush. Whose career was made possible by Ronnie's dismantling of the Fairness Doctrine.

11. Rush ...and He's helped "Screw the World" His past speeches..
...about the "Lies about Global Warming" have had a strong influence on a
large share of the America people and (consequently) their voting habits
concerning the topics of Environment and Global Warming.
