bush is gonna by god keep an eye out for price gougers
to help murkans with the price of gas. He said its the government's responsibility. Heard on CBS radio news this AM. I feel so much better knowing the great leader (slave to oil companies) is on top of another situation.

3. I am slowly coming to the realization...
That one of the intended effects of this military misadventure is to give oil companies a plausible cover for jacking prices. Not to mention giving the markets fertile ground for rampant speculation.

9. and how many weeks will have gone by
before bush-boy suddenly comes to anybody's rescue?

time enough for the oil companies to pack away a few mill and for bush to look like a knight tilting at windmills.

11. I'm fairly sure " Bush" & his minions will get prices down just a bit ....
around mid-October or so... just in time to *sucker* the more stupid and naive amongst the voting public into thinking they're "helping". :sarcasm: :puke:

If Bush really wanted to find the "gougers" he would need look no further then at those closest to him and the oil/gas companies BOD and officers.

12. And we can believe that lie -- like all the rest he tells?

IF the objective of the bushie presidency was for a phony oil man to make the oil companies much much much richer -- then he has been wildly successful.

What he will watch out for is more ways to squeeze money from every single citizen and direct that money to his corporate buddies.

13. They're no gougers
they're capitalists.

ain't no law to tell them they can't, so they do. i'll bet that big oil has a staff of evil psychologists, evil sociologists, & evil evil marketing consultants setting their prices, gauging the public's reaction, backing off when the squealing gets to loud, or the topic shows up on the news 3 days in a row, but constantly ratcheting up & up.

and there are barely any taxes being collected on this money to fund public transportation, alternative energy, or restoration of rail service.
