McClellan graduated from Austin High School where, like his mother, he was student council president. Also voted "Most Likely PR Flak"

He is described as the “archetype of calm inner-strength” by his mother. His brother, Mark, says the only time Scott gets mad is when UT loses a football game. Or when Helen Thomas "touches him in a bad place".

• On June 20, 2003, McClellan became the first presidential press secretary from Texas since Bill Moyers and George Christian served in the LBJ administration. We have no idea why that's interesting.

• He drives a 1997 Chevrolet pickup. He likes to make "Vroom, vroom" noises while sitting in the parking lot.
