A proposal for the new White House Press Secretary
In light of the rumor that Fox News anchor Tony Snow may have been offered the job of White House Press secretary, I have a modest proposal.

Instead of having one official White House press secretary and two or three dozen cable news personalities whose job is to seek out and report the truth, why don't we have two or three dozen official White House press secretaries and one cable news personality whose job is to seek out and report the truth?

So Tony Snow, Chris Matthews, Joe Scarborough, Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Shepard Smith, Wolf Blitzer, et al, could become the people whose job it is to "catapult the propaganda" and feed the Bush administration's spin to the public, while Keith Olbermann could remain as the cable news personality tasked with uncovering the truth.

Or would that be exactly the same as the system we already have in place?

3. I keep wondering about 'journalists' who stay on script,
thinking that will provide some sort of professional security. Hey, why pay dozens of talking hairdos if only one story gets told? Don't they see that eventually they will ALL be replaced by a computer generated anchorman? Why should the corporations who own the media keep paying so many to say what one could say?

Hoping some of them noticed who got Pulitzer Prizes and what they were recognized for.

Memo to talking hairdos and others who claim to be journalists: Nobody gets security for going along with bullies. Best you get for sacrificing your integrity is a little time and the illusion of security. Make an offering to honor Helen Thomas, and do your jobs!

6. Faux News should be officially announced as the WH
Press Office/Secretary. That is what they are in effect now, although its an unofficial position.
