We need to be on the offensive. The other side of the aisle has had a terrible Fall and a worse Winter. They're in the midst of an awful Spring and I want them to have a long, hot, smelly Summer. Dr. Dean, Senator Reid, Congresswoman Pelosi, et al need to think 2 steps ahead. We need to go for the jugular. We're up in the polls but we need to work like we're down. We can't let the cons have one minute to catch their breath and regroup.

Don Rumsfeld and Wes Clark?

Or for that matter, Don Rumsfeld versus any of our possible candidates?

I'd tune in for that.

3. Keep giving em more rope to hang themselves....Dems need
to get their act together for the November elections....voter registration...fighting the use of Diebold voting machines...protecting voter sites so intimidation will not be a factor...and keep pushing local prosecuters to prosecuter phone jamming crimes etc...

We have a lot to do....

If the whole enterprise required anything of the stumblebum Dems, it would all go nowhere.

9. Hear, hear
You would think the Dems would make a lot more hay than they are about this last month, especially. The Dems need to be raising a lot more hell than they are. If the shoe were on the other foot, the word IMPEACHMENT would be in every conversation.

The elected Dems are very disappointing to me right now.

mention what is mostly affecting people like me-HIGH GAS PRICES!!!!That means more to the average Joe than this culture of corruption.I said it in another thread when Bush took over in 2000 I was paying $1.17 a gallon in Lake Worth Florida-today it's $2.99.9-almost tripled

8. We can preview what will happen when we take back Congress
The Cons are already saying that when we take control, all we want to do is impeach *. What we need to do is start mapping out the types of legislation we WILL propose when we have the gavels. Since everybody KNOWS there will be investigations into *'s misbehavior, don't even mention that -- just move on to health care, ALTERNATE FUELS (works well with gas at $3/gal.), raising the minimum wage, rebuilding the Gulf Coast (FOR REAL!), advocating diplomacy over sabre-rattling around the world, tax reform to benefit the middle class (i.e., DON'T make those tax cuts permanent for the wealthy), stem cell research, acknowledgment of global warming, etc., etc., etc. We need to be pro-active and work hard to counteract the Cons' notion that all we're about is "pay back" and impeachment. The public already KNOWS that we'll investigate the * cabal once we have subpoena power; we need to show them all the other good things we'll do once we're in charge.
