Ms. Malkin was wrong to publish the students 'phone numbers and addresses on her blog. I also think it was wrong for others to post Ms. Malkin's 'phone number and address on the web.

There is a third and much less inflammatory path availiable. Contact the company running the web server and inform them about the situation, 'netiquette' is very clear about this.

If I was responsible for all the different sites putting personal information up, I'd pull the plug on ALL of them until they removed the personal information.

Not condeming this kind of behaviour outright, no matter what provocation has been given, reflects very badly on all of us here at DU. Condoning or encouraging it is worse.
