The winds of change
Last night I went to an internet relay channel that I KNOW if full of right wingers. I did not go to argue, discuss or talk to them mostly. I went there to see how things have changed.

Folks they feel betrayed by Bush. I no longer got pounded by these dead enders for ahem, calling Bush a crook. Heck, to get the whole think started I described a fictional faction from the game I am writing to them... which by the by would be paradise on Earth for them... and they loved it. Down to the subscribing to emergency services, because as you all know this has never been done in the US, but it would work wonderfully... (Yep they are that ignorant of US History). Of course they also love the idea of privatizing fully the military and just having Mercenary troops running around... but the point is, they feel fully betrayed by the Bush administration, to the point that none of them believes EITHER party can run the country any more and there is no use in voting any longer, unless a hard corp libertarian like them, runs.

These were folks who until oh three months ago were defending the Idiot in charge... now they are not... and the gas prices have hit them hard. Of course, that is the free market you know, but they will not have any of it and the Gov'ment should do something 'bout it, but lets privatize SS NOW... I know the contradiction... but then again.. I also know at one point in US History Fire was provided by subscription only in major cities, and still is in some rural areas, and you sort off paid the sheriff for his services at Tombstone, hence the service was ahem by subscription, but these folks don't know that much US History. Nor do they know why they were placed in the hands of governments... can anybody say Great Chicago Fire?

But if they stay home from now on, I won't complaint.

1. One thing that amazes me about these people though

I have yet to see anyone who has gone from bushbot to bush-hater actually use normal logic and reasoning i.e. "we've been duped we thought were in this guy's corner it turns out since we're middle class we're just fleas to him ect" no instead they say they no longer like Bush because he's become TOO LIBERAL for their tastes and they almost always cite that he's not being tough enough on the illegals or gay marriage and so therefore he is just a Democrat and that's why they no longer support him.

I say it once again this is the greatest country in the world-people like this would be locked up in some asylum here they get to room free (hat tip to Raygun)

2. How quickly they turn....
was that all it took for them to lose faith in their Man? Just some gas price hikes? Aren't they the party of the Loyal Followers? Come on...

(ominous) Just wait until gas goes to $4.25/gallon. Just wait to hear the howling and screeching then. What they don't realize, is that Bush has gone EASY on them, so far.
