Platforms.

We have several different groups putting together platforms for the Dems to rally around. I know because not only am I working on one (and yes it has universal health care, clean campaign finance, and redeployment of troops around Iraq among other things) but we also have some from Stacey Tallitsch with the New American Compact book, Will Pitt is working on one with the Progressive caucus and of course Dean has one with the DNC.

My question is, I know that the one I am working on is not only going to be the last introduced (August 27-29th, Clean Sweep Convention, St. Louis, BE THERE) but do you think the major platform creators should reconcile the platforms?

American Justice? Sure, so why is an attorney getting away with tampering with court documents even though he “inadvertently” filed three pages of emails detailing what was done with the court.

4. whatever the platform, I believe it needs a FIRM preamble . . .

consisting of three pledges to the American people . . .

1) PROMISING . . . To tell the Truth.

2) UPHOLDING . . . The Rule of Law.

3) CREATING . . . Government Of the People, By the People, For the People.
(a concept first articulated by a Republican president, btw). . .

matter of fact, everything else in the platform can flow directly from these three concepts . . .
