appending ".nyud.net:8090" to the base url is considered good nettiquitte. That's a neutral site that simple caches images from low bandwidth sites to save to orignating site the intense hits when someone (like me) links a picture they have. .nyud.net:8090 does a look-see at the site, caches the picture, than then sends it again when others (like you) try to open a post with the pitcure in it.

You can, of course, do as you wish, but as a fellow Firefox user, you may wanna consider allowing them.
