Bush: “We're Going To Have A Tough Summer”...
President George W. Bush has warned rising oil prices will mean a "tough summer" for US consumers as the high cost of gasoline (petrol) showed signs of becoming a big political issue.

But even as more Americans expressed discontent over the price of filling up their gas tanks, Bush suggested there was little his government could do in the short term about the problem.

"We're going to have a tough summer because people are beginning to drive now during tight supply," Bush said as he toured a California facility developing hydrogen-powered vehicles.

Can't you just feel Bush sharing your pain...

12. It seems like the Bush presidency has already ended - just a matter
of getting thru November because it's a new ballgame with the GOP out of the House and/or the senate.

3. Who could have ever predicted that folks would begin to drive...
more when the warmer weather arrived?

No wonder he bankrupted his oil ventures.

To place the blame on formula conversion or refining capacity/capability is outrageous.

5. Bush Seemingly Resigned to High Gas Prices
Bush/Cheney, first & foremost are oilmen, if gas doesn't hit over $4.00+ (California already has) right up thru the elctions I'd be amazed - summer is getting here, if you were them, you may lose the house & senate, why not just take the money and run because after the Dems take back the house or senate or both, oil companies are living on a fixed window of oppurtunity to recore breaking profits.

Exxon reported yesterday they are earning more then 212 million more PER DAY then one year ago, that's careful planning people.

9. tough six years? - I feel for the troops who believed they were fighting
terrorists because of 9-11 -- then they find out Bush decided to give the Iraqi's freedom & democracy -- regime change because Saddam was a bad guy as the notion of WMD's even Bushboy admitted (along with Blair) that they seemed to have gotten...something wrong?

11. No, punk, YOU are going to have the tough summer
as more and more people realize they're being robbed by oil barons with you at the top of the heap pushing prices up by yammering at Iran.

Face it, Junior, you are a piss poor manager of anything and the people in this country are getting fed up with it, even those people who showed up at those stupid Potemkin town meetings and waved their arms in the air like they were at a tent meeting and you were the second coming of Jesus Christ.

14. Bush is right because he too shall have a tough summer, but his problems
won't be related with purchasing over priced gas -- his problems will be because "WE" are paying over priced gas. I believe they'll run these high prices right thru the election because they have nothing to lose, Mobil-Texaco contibuted to the Bush/Cheney re-election campaign and first & foremost Bush/Cheney are oilmen doing what they do best.

Quoting a Republican Senator; " he's (Bush) not running for re-election we are"
