His campaign spokesman, Sean Smith, dismissed the senator's detractors, arguing that many are party activists.

"The people who are engaged in this race right now are a certain type of voter," Smith said. "Most of the people who vote on Aug. 8 are living their lives right now and are not paying attention to this race."

around about the constituants not paying attention...umm...they are going to start paying attention....bye bye Lieberwhore...

2. It seems Lieberman is shrouded by arrogance

Arrogance has brought down far more powerful people than Lieberman.

3. Word must surely have reached Sen. Lieberman that a lot of folks

will be voting for Ned Lamont.

Just how many, I have no idea. But there is dissatisfaction among many Democrats with Lieberman's proximity to Bush, and I think it will put Lamont in serious contention for that primary.

get out the vote phone banks are paying attention, and the only help Lieberman will be getting is the kind he can buy with his corporate donations.

I have a feeling that all the commercials he can buy won't help him.

5. Lieberman is an example of how Labor ended up with a corporate tool like

Tony Blair.

The Chamber of Commerce hedges their bets bankrolling "moderates" in the left party, and in areas where the right can't wing, they give the bulk of their money to these guys rather than someone who can't win.

They did this in New Zealand. People voted for labor, but still got neoliberal, conservative policies of privatizing everything and gutting the social safety net. Eventually, the real left had to form a new party.
