Message to our Republican Brothers and Sisters :
Edited on Tue Apr-25-06 02:01 PM by kentuck
There is no free lunch. Your Party said they could cut taxes and the revenues would increase. They lied to you. Supply-side is a discredited and unworkable economic theory as practiced by the present bunch of radicals that have taken over your Party. They have driven us to near bankruptcy. They will tell you that as "a percentage of the GDP" it is less than 20 years ago. However, it is irrelevant what percentage of GDP it may be because the government does not own the GDP. They only own what we give them in taxes to provide for the services that we wish to have. If we want Social Security and a strong defense, we have to pay for it. The debt that your Party has run up will cost us more than if we had raised taxes to pay for it all because your children and grandchildren will be paying the interest on that debt when you are dead and gone. It is treasonous to go along with this scam. It is time to put your country above your Party. We would say the same if the Democrats were as reckless. Stand up for your country - if it is not already too late.

4. Of course they are.
Look at the amazing things that are happening with the Andrea Clarke case--Michael Moore's people and the Right to Life people on the same side and both working for the same end.

We're all still Americans--still in the same country and believing in the same Constitution (except for some of the scary neocons). The vast majority of Republicans are good people who just think that hard work and their money mean more to them than the government.

5. 20 years ago: to some other borrow and spend Republican.
My RW brother blamed that spending on the Dem Congress. Hmmm. Now Republicans control Congress, President and even the Judicial and GUESS WHAT.

They're spending like drunken sailors.

No harm intended toward drunken sailors.
