If I hear Doofus start a comment with " I fully understand" one
more time, I think I will scream. The number of things this fool does not begin to understand is unquantifiable. To hear that officious phrase leading into what is guaranteed to be a fatuous, uninformed statement is but one of the many W mannerisms that makes me cringe. When compared to his other sins this is clearly of the venial variety, but it really pisses me off.

1. Naaah....
"I appreciate that" is far more vomit-inducing.

He doesn't appreciate anything, or understand anything, and he knows that no one is buying his bullshit anymore.

2. Yes! And sometimes he will
finish up a 'pronouncement' with the phrase "I know that!" I hope to live long enough to see a day when we will elect a president whose intelligence and knowledge is so evident that NOBODY will have to explain what he means/unnerstands/knows/thinks.

Idea for bumper sticker: BRAINS MATTER

5. When he preferences his position statement with "I fully understand",
he is preparing to basically telling you "That's tough. I'm going to exert my will on this situation and I don't give one damn what negative impact in might have on you." It's like when someone preferences their insulting remark with "No offense, But ...." then they go ahead and blast the hell out of you. They didn't mean "No offense." They meant, "Offense intended". Some would call that a "passive - aggressive" statement, aggressiveness hidden within sympathetic but unfelt meaning.

7. The one that makes me pull my hair out is: "That's a very
interesting question."

8. Asshole wouldn't understand a single thing....
...if his life depended on it. The idiotic phrases, "I fully understand," and "I appreciate that," are nothing more than figurative talk-to-the-hand phrases. I expect that very soon we're going to hear a fed up participant retort back loudly and very quickly, "no, you are incapable of understanding anything," when Asshole attempts to steamroll the question.
