1. and limbaugh would pontificate about self reliance
and the need for all americans to put out their own damn fires. The government shouldn't be involved in fire control.

3. No, he'd announce his intention
to form a committee to establish whether you really need that thimblefull of water, appoint someone from the thimble industry to head it up, and pose for a photo op in front of your charred house with his sleeves rolled up.

Senator Roberts (shame on Kansas) to ensure that the committee would do nothing about anything.

6. Love your Avatar
We have Snoopy all over the house; two framed pictures of him hanging in the living room. And I have a Snoopy trash can in my office; I've had it for 30 years. There is an art gallery on Royal Street in New Orleans that sells Snoopy Art by Tom Everhart. I love Snoopy but I ain't spending 3k for a picture of him. Where in Louisiana are you from? We live in Mississippi but just 20 miles from Slidell.

11. If you were drowning 50 feet from shore
Bush would throw you a 30-foot rope. Then Ken Mehlman would go on TV and say, "The President has met you more than half-way."

13. but only after it was burned down.
when I was a kid, in my small town, we had an all volunteer fire dept. Sadly, they were aweful. My dad referred to them as the foundation crew because that was all that was left when they finally showed up.

This same term I think can be aptly used for moron* and his room full of dopes.
