Ron Paul (Texas -R) on CSPAN -1
Holy shit. He compared the mistakes we are making with Iran now with the ones we made with iraq.
he claims that the proposed bill sucks and is crazy. He says that we talked to China, USSR and other enemies and we worked things out.
He makes more sense than a lot of democrats on this issue.

"Don't nation build, don't negotiate with threats, don't pretend that this bill is not a prelude to war, don't make the same mistakes we just made in Iraq. We will waste billions and lose thousands of lives needlessly."

I do not know wha else he stands for, but he sounds a lot like us here, without the D behind his name.

2. He's a sane Texas Republican.
I know it's not saying a lot but I'd take him over Zell Miller any day.

5. Certified nutcase
He's called Dr. No because he votes no on everything. Even for Katrina aid, despite the fact he represents a district that fronts the Gulf of Mexico. Check out his Democratic opponent, who has a good chance of unseating him.

13. Only if the Democratic opponent is going to lay it out the way he does

We need more truth tellers and I don't really care that much for the party mentality.
That's what is wrong with almost everybody in the Republican party, they put their party
above their country. I don't do that.

10. Maybe
But at least he's consistent. He's anti-government, like most Libertarians. But he's consistent enough to be anti-government wars, invasions of civil liberties & corporate welfare, as well.
