Did the NYT Story on the Halliburton fiasco made a ripple |
|
today? I haven't seen any responses yet.
Am I just looking in all the wrong places?

1. Nope. No ripples. It was truly disgusting. The ripple will only |
|
happen if the Dems win back at least one House of Congress and the subpoenas are issued and the investigations start.
The waste, fraud and idiocy are unbelievably staggering.

3. You have got to be kidding! Where is Clark or Kerry |
|
Someone needs to stay with this one. You know if there is that one case of a mere 75 million or whatever there are more.

5. It is like almost all of the scandals. There has to be a process for |
|
it to proceed and this Congress and this Justice Dept. has rolled over. That is why all this terrible crap ends up just being a one or two day story.
The Plame/CIA Leak Case continues to be a big story because it moved into the investigation stage. If that hadn't happened, it would just be another atrocious action by this Administration that would be in the footnotes of history.

6. Well, we need an investigation then. |
|
Trouble is that might lead to the uncovering of graft so huge that we would all be just completely stunned by it.
I wish someone would just sit down and add up all of the wasted taxpayer money that has been spent since Bush got in.
It has to be just billions and billions. And if you add the cost of this incredibly insane war on top of it we would be in the trillions.
In the mean time, a little 99 year-old lady in Louisiana can't even get a new trailer to live in.
This is just so bad.

7. I agree. That is why we have got to win back the House and/or Senate. |
|
It is the only hope for any justice.

8. Corruption on this scale is just mindboggeling. |
|
How do you spell boggeling - boggleing - oh, well.
It reminds me of Kansas City during the Pendergast years. This kind of corruption is like the mafia in NY and Chicago and on the docks.
We have really stepped back in time a long way.
