The one that stands out to me was the eve of the '98 midterm, in the midst of Monicagate. Kristol was a guest on one of the political shows and was asked about how the Republicans would fare in the House. His response was basically word for word, "Oh, they'll pick up 12 to 14 seats. I have to make a few more calls but that's where it stands."

Colbert immediately brought up PNAC and Kristol stammered like a shy guy on his first date! Kristol said it was needed after 9/11 and Colbert jumped right on it to say that they came up with the plan BEFORE 9/11.

Kristol WANTS the dems to take the House and Senate this November because he thinks after a few years of tax and spend dems, the republicans would win the presidency in 2008 for sure! (he mentioned McCain, Guilliani, Romney). Yeah right!
