GOP Loves Big Oil

It’s time for rural red America and conservatives mad about the rising price of gas, to wake up to the fact that the GOP, who they support, loves Big Oil. And, if they are mad about rising gas prices, they will need to look beyond the GOP for the answers and the fix.

As long as the Republican-led Congress continues to provide tax cuts to oil companies who are at this time enjoying record profits, we will continue to struggle with rising gas prices. WAKE UP! The prices at the pumps will keep going up until you stand up and say no more - vote the Oil Whores Out the Door!

In today’s Democratic weekly radio address, Rep. Bart Stupak of Michigan said “gas prices keep skyrocketing, and in Washington, Republicans continue to turn a blind eye to the oil industry’s activities.”

“From this Republican-controlled Congress, we hear more of the same: ‘Let’s just drill our way to energy independence, sacrifice our environment and provide big tax breaks to Big Oil,’” Stupak said.

Earlier this week, Exxon Mobil Corp., the nation’s biggest oil company, posted net income of $8.4 billion, an increase of 7 percent, during the first three months of 2006.
