lefties are a creative lot...nyc march protest sign photos
if this needs to be moved to the new york forum, do it....
i figured no one would see them there.

we leftie/progressive/liberals are an imaginative bunch. we continue to amaze me.

it was a large crowd, but i have no idea what the estimates were. a great crosssection of america. lots of different organizations, churches. we did me proud!

i concentrated on the homemade signs, not the printed, mass produced signs.... and a few other great shots.

family matters precluded my doing so and the MSM hs not done very well so far covering this.

7. This is time capsule-worthy stuff.
I've posted a lot of powerful international protest photos from Yahoo News, and the reaction is often "I wish we could have that level of protest HERE, in the United States..."

Well, boys and girls, today we DID...in NYC.

12. When government lies, democracy dies.
That was my favorite sticker today. I loved that woman hanging out the window. :)

My favorite sign of today was a picture of Osama Bin Laden, beside which was written:

He's free.
Are we?

14. absolutely haunting ...
and a gaping hole between the anti-war left and the Democratic Party ...

the two that really got to me, and they were all very powerful, was the "No war on Iran" and the "bush regime engineered 9/11" ... our most loyal Democratic comrades need to understand how much we want to hear the party at least show an openness to these ideas ...

it just doesn't seem very likely ... and that's tragic really ...

I love the way they've taken their own words and thrown them back in their faces via the Signage!

It's hard to choose just one but this is the first one I really liked..

They've come a long way with the signs since Feb 15, 2003 when we were in NYC protesting the beginning offensive bombs on Iraq.

Thank you, Everyone who was out there yesterday! :patriot: :patriot: :patriot:

54. please to note the ages of the sign carriers
This is not the "college" crowd that were out on the streets in the 1960s marches. I saw grey and white hair there, so there were folks much older than me there. Of course they may be the same people who were out there in the 60s.

Kudos to those who turned out- I was running Hubby to and from dialysis yesterday (and we are in the Cal boonies).

55. To me it looked like a cross
culture of Americans who were out on the streets protesting a misbegotten war. They can't label the war on Iraq protesters even though they tried in the beginning.
