I was there among the 400,000 war protesters in New York.

It was a beautiful sight to see. Over 400,000 protesters marching down Broadway, to show unity and bitter anger over the war in Iraq. I saw what looked like Danny Glover in the crowd, but I wasn't too sure. Being in the middle of all the throngs of people, marching to bring this insane war to an end, and also bringing the troops home, was an exhilarating experience that I will never forget as long as I live. I'm hoping one day that our message will get through, and we can declare an end to the most vile, lying, cheating war this country hasn't seen since Vietnam. The only downer was not hearing Cindy Sheehan speak. That would have been the perfect end to a great day.

Sometimes people thank soldiers for their service.

A lot of us thank you for your service today -- service in defense of citizenship and the U.S. Constitution which expressly provides more liberty than the current administration acknowledges.
