Congressional Races: Can Shuler Beat Dirty Taylor

in North Carolina's 11th? Charles Taylor is about as dirty as you can get. He's closely tied to Abramoff. Shuler is a young former NFL player. He's running as a dem in what I understand to be a pretty repub district. He is outraising Taylor and he's certain to win the dem nomination. Any North Carolinians out there who know if Shuler can beat Taylor? I'd sure love to see Taylor booted out.

Because he was a terrible NFL QB. Now maybe if he ran in Tennessee where he was a god for UT he might have a chance. I am not being flippant here either I guarantee some of those rednecks will take that into consideration.

voters could be that shallow, but it's my understanding that he was also a football god in high school in NC. Maybe that will serve to mitigate his disasterous NFL career. In any case, he's far outraising Taylor.
