The Times They Are A'Changin'
Neil Young's Let's Impeach the President and Colbert's roasting of Bush -- The Times They Are A'Changin! Love 'em both. The seas of the counterculture are rising, and they will carry all boats to shore. Neil Young's album is an anthem to peace. I love it.

Neil Young's music is heartfelt, sincere, driven and speaks for me. Hallelujah! At least one voice of courage in the desert of consumer noise.

1. Empty noises all feel good
No action. End results. Still same
Read Iran Freedom Acts pass by 327-21 in your Congress

Of course the 400,000 in NYC not bad but still too damn little

Bush sings....

"I got you son and daughetrs in my hand"
" I got your son and daughters in my hand"
" I got the whole America in my hand"

6. I appreciate your frustration
Please understand that this is not the America that fought to free itself from the tyranny of the British empire. We have moved so far from our mission as a nation -- which was to forge a society of equals, fit to govern themselves. It's going to take a lot to move us back to the basics -- back to our proper place in the family of man. We have become so proud, so power hungry, so full of our own might.

Our American, this great nation has been taken over by an international clique of militarists. Many of those who are deciding the direction of our country are not Americans -- Rupert Murdoch is an example. I am old enough to remember the sacrifices that American families made to win World War II. After the American people won that "war," these opportunists moved in. They have drugged the American people with easy access to frivolous consumer goods and brainwashed us with platitudes.

Our forefathers were self-sufficient and rightfully proud. We have become dependent on the third world. We treat the poor in the third world like slaves. The only difference between the slavery of early America and the working people of the third world is that we don't see the misery of the modern slaves in the third world. Our country has become morally impoverished. The increasing prevalence of gambling, of alcohol and drug addiction, divorce and excessive personal debt are symptoms of lack of moral direction, not causes. And all of these cultural warning signs are flashing bright red in America at this time. We have lost our direction, our ability to take care of ourselves, to think for ourselves. We have lost the courage to do the right thing. We are just doing the easiest thing, and it is not working.

I take solace in Neil Young's new album and Colbert's roasting of the president last night. Bush used the 9/11 event as a bully stick to silence rational voices. That's not working any more. Barring another event like 9/11, more and more Americans will speak out. I realize that the fact that it is taking so long is criminal. I realize that people are dying. I realize that children are waking up frightened because of the war around them -- a war we started for no good reason. Please support every American who speaks up. Wherever you are, raise your voice to support us. We need your help, your encouragement. Thanks.

7. I see bad moon rising
Like mad race between a war or getting impeach.

Living outside the media curtain that, we gets lots of info, we know the mood, we see what Iraq is all about, very angry people around the world. See demostration getting ugly whereever bushco goes.

Not healthy. If Iran get attack, it will be very very bad. US embassies around the world will get mob.
Do bushco realise that. Yes he does.
The expanding the WAR ON TERROR part about sending US elites force to embassy is to protect the embassy. Much good it will do. Mob still angry people get kill. Not solutions just FUBAR big TIME.

I see things starting to move in right direction but I totally shock at passing of Iran Freedom Act by Congress and other coming up in Senate. This all BAD MOONS RISING. Like you representatives all totally freak out. Like all this just political games. Trying hard not be caught on wrong side of issue. No thoughts on consequence or what is good for country.

Me just scare of maybe too little and too late ending.
People need to start taking action or else it blows.
After that who can say where it is headed except lots of people be dead. FOR WHAT for what.
TOTALLY INSANE. Must wake up before that.

2. Don't leave out Bruce!
His new album "we shall Overcome" is a love song to America, All that is good and progressive about America, Songs of the Civil Rights Movement, Songs from the labor Movement, and songs of the working class from long ago. These ancient songs remind us that the fight against these right wing nazis is nothing new, We need to seek inspiration from Springsteen's songs of old and Young's new material to fight on! We shall overcome the current disaster.

A word of warning. If you have a love of folk music, like I do, Bruce's new album is totally intoxicating. I can't stop listening to it. The songs play in my head constantly. It is a total joy, not a bad second on the entire disk.
