Cmon. We will need every last vote in order to win the upcoming election. Im tired of the democratic civil war between Dean and Clark. (Other candidates included) I personally think Dean and Clark should be Pres and VP. (either way!) I think if Dean wins the nomination and is smart, he will pick Clark for vp (if Clark will run), and I think that if Clark wins, Clark should pick Dean for VP. I think that combo is unstoppable. Incredible Domestic and Foreign Policy experience. So Can we all stop fighting please? Can we support our candidates but stop flaming others? Any one else agree with me?

Im new to this board and rarely have much more to offer than others. On this point though, the infighting amongst the candidates is pathetic. To defeat shrub, we as Americans cannot take any chances, he must fall, we must have a candidate that can win and do the job. I wouldnt care to look back and think that the early slings and arrows may have persuaded John Q. Public to seek representation elsewhere...

4. I'm with you!!!

You know, I'd give the current crop (except Holy Joe) various ratings from say... 50 to say....92, in terms of how much I like them. I really like Kucinich, but I don't think he's got a chance. I like Dean, and I do believe he has a chance. I just haven't heard or seen enough of Clark to know.

I give Your Boy George a rating of NEGATIVE 12,457. Compared to Bushco's score, there isn't a hill of beans between the Democratic candidates.

What I do know is this: If Bushco* wins in November, we are 100.00% totally f**ked, and I mean in a big way. They'll be doing things six weeks after the election that you haven't even had nightmares about. And they'll rig it so the 2008 election is fixed way before-hand, so we'll have several generations of rethuglican fascism to look forward to.

Whoever the nominee is, I'm behind them - all the way. If we don't get together and win this one, we're off to a free lifetime vacation in sunny Guantanamo!

You better ask that question from the "Bush Democrats," starting with Zell Miller, and all the other pukes that would actually vote for Bush if Dean gets nominated, as a couple of DUers have already said on this board.

I can understand the rationale of someone feeling so angry and disenfranchised that he/she would either sit out the election or vote for a third party candidate.

I don't understand, and I am increasingly annoyed, about those self-described Democrats that are saying that they would vote and/or campaign for Bush if candidate so-and-so wins the Democratic nomination.

Nothing excuses a vote for Bush/Cheney. Nothing!

The latest poll from CBS news shows 20% of Democrats would vote for * in a contest with Dean.

Although that number will undoubtedly come down as the country learns more about Dean, the same poll shows that only 3% of Republicans intend to vote against *. This is a worrisome statistic, and the main reason, IMO, that Dean trails other potential Democratic candidates in polling against Bush.

9. There is nothing democratic about dehumanization

You refer to a "democratic civil war" but opponents are engaged in dehumaizing the other candidates. That is what's going on here. The desperate measures to characaturize the candidates is worthy of Leno.

I've never seen such rhetoric used before on anyone other than in reference to George Bush.

The cannibalism is so bloody blatant, that I am doubtful that Democrats are really at the helm of the brutality.

Who really profits? We *know* who! The nominee will enter the race ripped and torn, dripping with the shallow and narrow minded accusations of other "Democrats". If we fall for that and fail, we deserve Bush or worse.

But, once again, the fighting should not, cannot, stop. Too many people believe the general election is being fought in the primary.
Thus, I'll be a broken record about Dean's inability to win until he gets or loses the nomination, and I'll stack my party loyalty up against anyone's.
