He said expect a beating tonight, but we are going to go on and here is why. This campaign offers fundamental, institutional change. And America wants that.

... misrepresentation of what Doctor Dean is saying and I am, and have been, listening to his speech on CSPAN for the last twenty minutes.

I don't believe, for one minute, that the Doctor should have the nomination nor do I believe he has a snowball's chance in hell in the general should he prevail in the primary. I have been a consistent, strident, and angry opponent of his candidacy for dozens of reasons, but....

.... this thread is beyond the pale in its outright and fraudulent mis-characterization of what is a truly passionate speech by a good man who has many faults as a candidate but who is not, at all, giving up.

This thread is a Sham. And a pitiful shame.

14. I am not a Dean supporter, I favor Wesley Clark. But I don't want Dean

to drop out of the race for a couple of reasons.

1. Dean has made major contributions to the democratic party just by having the guts to stand up and say what he believes. No matter how you feel about the guy, he has been one of the biggest assets the dems have had in the run against Bush*. Personally, I don't like his style, I compared his to a combative Eddie Hascall the other day. But without Dean's anger, I have this sneaky feeling that the other candidates would never become as bold and outspoken as they've been lately.

2. Much as I hate to admit it, I don't think the guy is totally out of the race yet. Stranger things have happened. And even if he isn't the nominee, he needs to be included in the cabinet of whoever does win the election over Bush.
