Is anyone talking about Tony Snow?
What a crybaby! And liar, of course. Goes with the job. > > >

"Whether people like it or not, we are engaged in a war on terror. Iraq is a very important part of it," he said. "People tend to see IED explosions and hear bad news. What they're not hearing is much of the nation is secure and the troops who come back say they're committed to it, and they think they're involved in something important and grand."

"What they're not hearing is that there is a government on the verge of being formed. When people realize that what has happened in Iraq is a military engagement that is now producing the beginnings of a democracy, that may give people pause to reflect and say we were doing the right thing."
...

"I have told the American people we'll protect them against an al Qaeda attack and we'll do so within the law," he said.

Air Force Gen. Michael Hayden, Bush's nominee to head the CIA, appears before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday for a confirmation hearing. The White House has already said he has no obligation to discuss confidential government programs.
<end>

Remember, this is his third press secretary. Hope Tony has a supply of Rolaids on hand. Since he's from faux, though, I assume he is used to puking after every performance.

1. I don't think Tony Snow has done enough to deserve snark yet
He's a minnow in a town of sharks and has yet to prove otherwise.

2. I'm sorry
But i've been hearing for a solid year now that Iraq has been on the verge of forming a new government. I really do think Iraqi's need a firm timetable for our troop withdrawl before they'll attempt to get anything done for themselves, and they know full well that the whole nation is going to descend into bloody civil war along Shia, Sunni and Kurdish lines until another iron fisted despot can reign them in.

They should have just set up Shiastan, Sunnistan and Kurdistan and saved those people the grief.

3. More and more every day
I feel like I'm living in surreal world. I commented on another thread that I just don't understand why this lameness is allowed to continue. Do we have some kind of 'need' for a bumbling, lying, idiot fool to be our head of state? There are marches, egg throwings, legit reports of all kinds of skulduggery, and yet it continues. I'm beginning to feel numb. That must be the plan.

4. Bummer about what people aren't hearing
Sure, 18 people got blown to Kingdom Come, but there are millions who weren't!

It comes as some sort of surprise to Mr. Snow that news outlets find it more newsworthy to cover the 18 former people than a hundred thousand sitting in the dark, waiting for the electricity to come back on for three or four hours.
