really like Dean, really like Edwards, don't like Kerry
I was blown away by Edwards speech. I'm a Dean person, but I would happily support Edwards. I'm still for Dean--he says what I think needs to be said most clearly. Edwards is great.

I watched Kerry and tried to like him. He's boring--I believe the word is stentorian. Anyway, he drones. I have no idea why his fans are excited by him. He seems safe, I guess, but that doesn't really interest me.

1. I teared up with Edwards speech
We don't have our primary here in Illinois until March...I hope I get to vote for Dean.

I'm waiting for the media to start their usual attack on the front runner (now Kerry). There so much BS it's hard to tell whether it's right-wing interference or from the candidates/supporters. But I'd still support Edwards over Kerry if it came down to the choice between the two.

Edwards has that 'something' that could take him all the way. He's very skilled in speaking (and I adore his wife). He's got a real story to tell too... Not much has been talked about his son who was killed in a car accident at 16. Also, his roots and being the first in his family to attend college.

But I'm still holding out for Dean and hope he holds out as well. He didn't do too well on MSNBC tonight, IMO. :(

2. He seems competent and trustworthy - the opposite of Bush
Edwards' youth and good looks worek against him. Kerry seems to be the guy that could maybe restore our national stature and credibility in the word.

Imagine Kerry meeting with Putin, then imagine Edwards doing the same. Kerry would cut a more imposing figure. I know this sounds very "Tweetyish" of me to say, but it IS how a lot of people think.

3. Edwards and Putin would have fun together
I think of Putin at the McCartney concert listening to Back In the USSR--and I can see Edwards clapping along. I think Putin and Edwards would hit it off. With Kerry, it's, "Oh, God, is it our turn for the Kerrys again?" And I think the same is true for the rest of the world. Edwards would present the US as a hopeful, young place. Kerry would be the old professor where you pass notes during the lecture.

4. Maybe we support him because we're not "fans"
I didn't know that this was a ballgame or a Battle of the Bands. I am always befuddled (and a little put off) by those candidate supporters who identify themselves as "fans"
BTW: stentorian is not a bad thing. Not a bad thing at all.

5. My sentiments exactly!
He has no Mo, and no Jo. I'll support him if he gets the nom, but not a choice of mine. Would rather see Dean, Edwards, Clark, Sharpton, or Kucinich. He comes in right ahead of Joe, who has dropped out if I heard correctly.
