After tonight's election results come in only 10 percent of the delegates for the Democratic nomination will be chosen. The voices of millions of Americans in states like Wisconsin, Washington, California, New York and Florida, have yet to be heard.

We always knew fighting the powerful special interests would be tough. That is why we have prepared ourselves to continue the fight to change America's politics and change Washington.

Democrats want to send the strongest possible candidate against George Bush in November. Howard Dean has energized hundreds of thousands of passionate new voters, new activists in this battle. And he is the only Democrat to carry the powerful message of change since this campaign began.

If we are going to change Washington we have to send the candidate of change against Bush and his corporate cronies.

This campaign will continue to fight for ordinary Americans who want to end the influence of special interests and restore respect for this public interest.

It's way too early for a coronation of the candidate who has taken in more special interest money than any other candidate.

Kerry will pick up the vast number of them (they're mostly insiders). In no other primary season has a candidate with so much money, fallen so fast and so hard. It's sad but true. And, I say that as a Dean supporter who spent ten days in Iowa and five in NH. I hate it.

snake eyes? You do the math. How much do the odds change for rolling snake eyes if you roll 100 times? Pretty much the same theoretical and empirical odds.

So.........based on the Kerry wins in south, northeast, southwest, and midwest...and absolute losses for Dean in those regions...we can expect this past couple of weeks of results to be writ large as we move around the different primaries. It really is over for Dean...but I suppose we can with hold judgement on that until Washington and Michigan have gone to Kerry.

shouldn't be too smug ...this race ain't over yet....I'd say its just getting started and if we have learned anything so far, it should be that we really can't predict what will happen next.
So lets try to keep a touch of humility so that when the time comes to rally round whoever, we can still stand each other.
