Kerry supporters might wanna see this
found this while trawling yahoo msg boards. its a long post, so i'll excerpt it:

Subject of post: Americans are so dumb
By: jordi_cruise8er (32/M/Hong Kong)

"Now they voted for this ghoul who voted against the 1991 Persian Gulf War which was glorious and righteous, but voted YES for this illegal invasion based on complete lies.

A millionnaire skull n bonesman who obviously votes according to what's popular and not according to principles. He was long-winded, so he shortened his speeches. He was distant, so he started talking to voters in personal terms. Seen as privileged, he surrounded himself with fellow Vietnam combat veterans. Seen as arrogant, the senator from Massachusetts demonstrated humility, often embracing voters and telling them, "I love you." A poser, a flip flopper and a devious liar. Bush and Kerry = two sides of the same coin.

Kerry is a rich loser in my book. First of all he milks his Vietnam experience to be a Senator and now milks it to be Prez.
"

21. Probably not the sharpest knife in the drawer, if that's what you mean.
I don't know why you need to import drivel like that. We've got plenty of homegrown.

7. I think it makes some sense.
I'm going to campaign AGAINST George W. Bush regardless of who runs against him. But I'm not necessarily going to campaign FOR his opponent. If he's really good, I'll support him wholeheartedly. If he's the lesser of evils, that's exactly what I'll promote on my website.

Many people think this is bad strategy; "We've got to get behind our candidate 100%!" But that's what Democrats always say, and it's getting awfully old.

In fact, each election campaign builds on the previous campaign, which in turn influences campaigns for lesser offices; all things are connected. I cannot and will not sacrifice my credibility by cheerleading for someone I don't believe in - and I'm not alone.

People had better take a very close look at all the candidates now and make sure they're making the right choice before the die is cast. Frankly, I would be disgusted to be represented by any President who didn't actively oppose George W. Bush's decision to invade Iraq.

9. The poster's comments (from yahoo) are almost not worth considering
.
.

But, I can guarantee you that his comments are NOT from any considerable research of Senator Kerry's performance.

As soon as Kerry jumped (and it WAS a jump) to the forefront of the Primaries, I decided to do some research on the possible next President of the USA.

I spent hours reading his http://www.johnkerry.com/pressroom/speeches/index.html">speeches, specifically looking for the circumstances surrounding his alleged support for the war in Iraq.

Before I go on, while impressed with Dean, the "Dean Scream" unnerved me as what appeared to me to be an adrenaline outburst of the moment, would certainly be a quality that would make me uncomfortable with that kind of impulsiveness in the WH.

Back to Kerry. In his speeches he was very specific that he did not support the war unless there was imminent danger. He made an error, he trusted the President, along with the majority of the people in the USA.

After the war started, Kerry was increasingly disturbed about the lack of any proof of WMD's, an unlike others who voted for the war, has not backpedaled with "it's OK because Saddam was a bad man anyways" sort of rhetoric. And he has long criticized this war before he came into the limelight of the Primaries.

As far as "milking his experience in Vietnam", I think that Kerry's experience in Vietnam is VERY pertinent in a country that seems to be constantly at war somewhere or another. He has related experience that enables him to understand the effects of war right down to the man with mud on his boots, unlike the pResident who literally borrows military wardrobe to "play the part" of a *cough* warrior. And there ain't no dirt on GeeDubya's boots, just blood on his hands, including America's own young soldiers.

So far, I think that John Kerry is the most likely to unseat Bush, and THAT to me is the most important issue at the moment.

Edwards appears to be competent and trustworthy, but I feel Kerry has more of the "gusto" needed to get Junior off his throne, and steer the country out of it's warmongering and kowtowing to big business.

A ticket with Kerry/Dean to me would (at present) be my first choice, and I'm not sure if a Kerry/Dean would be workable, but -

ANYBODY BUT BUSH

So I hope the Dems can maintain unity after the Primaries are over and present a formidable and united front to unseat Junior.

15. An easy mark
"Before I go on, while impressed with Dean, the "Dean Scream" unnerved me as what appeared to me to be an adrenaline outburst of the moment, would certainly be a quality that would make me uncomfortable with that kind of impulsiveness in the WH."

And they haven't even started with Kerry. They took an event, presented it deceptively out of context, deliberately manipulated the circumstances by isolating Dean's voice from the crowd, bombarded the airwaves with it around the clock-- And after the damage was done, the mission was accomplished, and they got suckers to lap it up, they apologized quietly --like a retraction on the back pages. it was done the same way they pilloried Clinton, btw, and you swallowed it whole. Hook, line and sinker. They are baiting the hook for you as we speak, wait and see the tasty morsel they have ready to dangle...

11. Our response to John Kerry, and other Bush war enablers like him...
Our response to John Kerry, and other Bush war enablers like him will be heard on March 20, the International day of protest against war and the occupation of Iraq.

Kerry will not end the war. Kerry will not bring the troops home. Kerry will turn a Republican war into a Democratic war. Kerry will not repeal PATRIOT Act.

While far too many Democratic voters have been seduced by the false promises of "electability" (which came out of a DLC focus group), the rest of us progressives must continue the struggle against militarism, revanchism, and imperialism regardless of whether the President of the United States has an "R" or a "D" after his name.

Global Day of Action on March 20 to mark first day of Iraqi invasion

16. Glorious and righteous?
The first American Iraq war was a subtrefuge engineered by George I. It was anything but glorious. It was a slaughter much of which occurred after the cease fire. There was nothing righteous about it.

19. I think it's probably a GOP operative trying to spread dissent.
That's what they do.

You do know that Moon has some of his devotees working internet boards, don't you? They want to force a schism in the Dem party and they'll use every angle they can that they think the left will respond negatively.
