I Am Not Ashamed To Support John Kerry
Edited on Wed Feb-04-04 11:38 AM by Magic Rat
And I will not be shamed, nor apologize for supporting the man who I believe has the best chance of defeating George W. Bush in November.

I will not be shamed into believing I'm supporting a corporate-controlled puppet.

I will not be shamed into believing I'm supporting a man with no convictions.

I will not be shamed into believing I'm supporting someone who is no different than Bush.

I will not be shamed into believing I'm supporting someone who doesn't represent the Democratic party base.

I will not be shamed into believing I'm supporting a warmonger who wants to send our young men and women off to die.

I will not be shamed into believing I'm supporting a man with no heart, no courage and no backbone to stand up for what's right.

I will not be shamed into believing that the only reason my candidate is doing well is because of some vast GOP/Media conspiracy.

I will not be shamed by anyone.

I'm a proud Democrat. I'm a proud liberal. I'm a proud American. And I'm proudly supporting John Kerry until the bitter end.

And I make no apologies.

4. why do you feel the need to question it?
I think the point should have been fairly obvious, I repeated it over and over again. :)

5. Kerry gets TONS of flak around here...
... IMHO, more than any other candidate. Some of it is deserved, but most of it isn't. I know I'm backing an imperfect candidate, but I will not be convinced that he is Bush-lite or just another establishment Democrat. I backed him since before 9/11, during the Afgan war, during the Iraqi war, when Dean was riding high and Kerry super-low, up to IA, and I sure as hell am not changing now. So there.

7. Magic Rat, I would amend your post this way:
I'm a proud Democrat. I'm a proud liberal. I'm a proud American. And I'm proudly supporting John Kerry all the way to November, 2004.

9. I have supported John Kerry
Since he first ran for Congress. As Lt. Governor and every time he ran for the Senate. I don't see what other people see that gets them worried. I am a liberal democrat and I think Kerry is a great senator and will be a great president.

Democrats didn't like the IWR. Most Americans don't like much of the Patriot Act.

15. I'm not ashamed to oppose John Kerry.
Because he is a man with no convictions. As evidenced by his choice to back Bush with his IWR vote.

Because he is little different than Bush. As evidenced by his choice to back Bush with his IWR vote.

Because he is someone who doesn't represent the progressive wing of the Democratic Party.

Because he is a warmonger who wants to send our young men and women off to die as evidenced by his vote for the IWR.

Because he is man with no heart, no courage and no backbone to stand up for what's right. As evidenced by his unpricipled vote for the IWR.

Because the only reason he is doing well is because he is backed by the corporate wing of the Democratic Party.

I will not be shamed by anyone.

I'm a proud democrat. I'm a proud socialist. I'm a proud internationalist. And, I'm proudly opposing John Kerry and George Bush until the bitter end.

And I make no apologies.
