3. He criticizes Dems after he applauded Bush
Now there is some nerve.
(Don't fool yourself -- the Bush team is ready to pull out those fundraiser videos if Clark is anywhere near our ticket.)

7. Why?
And how would those videos help his campaign?

They were either pre 9/11 or shortly after 9/11 right? Back then a lot of people were united. Bush benefited from that.

Isn't voting for many of the things Bush proposed much worse than a few kind words? All the candidates have said kind words about Bush at one point or another, right?

8. Clark's points are valid.
“They’re criticizing No Child Left Behind — they voted for it,” he said. “They’re criticizing the tax cuts — they voted for ’em. They’re criticizing the war in Iraq — they voted for it. They’re criticizing the Patriot Act — they voted for it.”

“I’m not part of the Washington problem,” Clark said. “I did not vote for No Child Left Behind. I did not vote to go to war in Iraq. I did not vote, ever, to cut veterans benefits. You can go on and on and on.”

These aren't slams, they are the truth. Kerry and Edwards will have some explaining to do as things progress. They may have good comeback lines for all this, but it will be difficult for them.

17. actually they DIDN'T vote for the taxcuts. Neither Edwards or Kerry.
Not in 2001 or 2003 taxcuts. I hope the Clark camp isn't using Dean camp as a source. Dean made those false charges about all the others and Gephardt nearly clocked him for it since he led the fight against the taxcuts in the Congress.

23. I thought the two big Bush taxcuts were in 2001 and 2003.
Weren't they?

Some Dean defenders tried to pick out the one bill where the Dems voted to reduce the SIZE of the 2003 taxcut from 550 bil. to 350 bil. and pass that off as a yes vote FOR taxcuts, but none of the candidates voted for the final 350 bil.

9. Child's play
I hope they DO pull out those videos.

All Clark has to do is say he has since been betrayed by this administration.

That will resonate with the MILLIONS of Americans who feel the same way.

12. Let's see...
Someone who said a few nice things about Bush or someone who went along with Bush on nearly everything he wanted.

Yeah, real tough choice.

a fair man and a uniter.

He deserves your respect for his 30+ years of defending our country. You don't have to vote for him, but please respect him.
