Friends, Democrats, Clark Supporters..
Edited on Wed Feb-04-04 02:35 PM by ColdnGrey
There is something pretty important to remember if you start getting down on Clark or begin thinking that its time to abandon hope in Wes. The Clark campaign has been meeting its expectations (Remaining viable with a third place finish in New Hampshire and a winning effort last night). Thats all that the campaign had counted on.

So now here we are, right where we thought we'd be, and I'm seeing and hearing posts about giving up on Clark. Why the hell would we do that!? We haven't stumbled, we haven't faltered, we are ( and i can't stress this enough) RIGHT ON TRACK. As cliche as it sounds, this is a marathon not a sprint and i have faith that Clark's people have had a plan to win this thing all along.

So instead of getting down on our candidate, get up off your ass and give some money or volunteer your time. We CAN win this thing, and I am pretty damn confident if we stay behind Wes we WILL win this thing.

Fight on, Give 'em Hell Wes :kick:

1. Not to discourage you, but . . .
Being where you WANT to be and being where you NEED to be are two different things. No doubt Clark is where he wanted to be, but I just don't think he's where he needs to be.

5. I don't agree
If there was another canidate that was a showing himself to be a better Kerry alternative then i would agree with you, but at the moment we are no worse ( and possiably a bit better) then Edwards. Thats why i don't get the negative posts i've read today.

10. Clark is doing great right now!
He came in first in Oklahoma and second in at least three states. This is a very impressive showing considering that:

1. He entered the race comparatively late;

2. He was not able to participate in Iowa as a result of the late start;

3. The mainstream media has been largely ignoring him;

4. His support comes mainly from grassroots levels, i.e. he is not an experienced politician with a network of political connections.

As a Clark supporter, I am very optimistic about his prospects for gaining the nomination.

Clark's campaign seems to be doing great right now!

11. Great, but good enough?
I am not saying that Clark's showing yesterday was not good. It was. I am saying that I do not think it is good enough. Nothing against the man personally, just how I see it.

3. i'm with ya ColdnGrey
a lesser man couldn't make it happen. a Wes-ser man can and will! he is something special and has just what we need now, although i doubt we deserve him, especially since we're having to practically drag people to him kicking and screaming....

6. He's only been running since August 2003 at the most
Edwards, Dean, Kerry and Lieberman have all been running for over a year. Some of them 2 years.

Right now the donor average to the Clark Camp's new train is $91.00

12. Just sent another $50
This is no time for kicking negative thread titles about Clark. Everyone, keep focused.

Can Clark win? I have no doubts. The way a military strategist works is by picturing the end state--having the most delegates--and working backward from there. We're gaining momentum, from third in NH to 1st in Oklahoma. Now it's on to bigger wins as people see he's got a fighting chance and a fighter's spirit.

14. Contact CNN
and tell them to put a rep on the Paula Zahn story about Kerry and Vietnam and the AWOL* I called Little Rock and thought it was a good idea and said they would try to do something from there.

15. Clark can beat Edwards in many states....
Edwards has no experience at much of anything, except being a trial lawyer. As I've mentioned before, he's a lousy senator. All of us who worked for him have been totally ignored since he took his senate seat. He's nothing ....NOTHING...but a "pretty" face. Many people in North Carolina feel this way.

Clark is HANDSOME, but that's not his greatest virtue. I really hope to see a ticket with both Kerry and Clark on it ... or even Dean if he can hang in, come November, and I'm hoping beyond hope they put Eliot Spitzer on as Atty. General. It's the only way we're EVER going to finally get rid of the crime family running our government for once and for all.

Clark has come out AHEAD of Edwards in 5 of the 8 primaries where they have been on the ballot. That's MORE THAN HALF...more than half of the times they've come up against each other, Clark has won.

And Clark has just started! Don't let the teevee sway your commitment. Clark is awesome, and the more exposure he gets, the more people will come over. He makes Edwards look like "Ned" in the first reader...a school boy. While Edwards was having lunch with the lawyers and judges, Clark was Supreme Allied Commander of NATO, negotiating treaties, talking with heads of State.

NO CONTEST!!

:hi: Keep smiling and dialing!! :hi:

18. Dean-Clark ticket
I believe you are smoking some really good weed if you are entertaining this ticket.

As a Clark supporter, I would like to see a Clark-Edwards ticket, or better yet, a Clark-Breaux ticket. I don't know if the Clark campaign has thought of Breaux as a VP candidate, but I believe that he would make a good one.

16. Precismo.
These are battles in the war for the nomination.

To be followed by global thermonuclear war for the WH.

(And we're now close to seeing the whites of their eyes.)

ps, all in a charitable, brotherly way, of course.

17. No way am I giving up
It's absurd to fall into the media trap they're setting. It's all BS with a purpose. The Clark Campaign is not just where it wants to be, it's where it needs to be, in spite of the media.

"If you build it, they will come." For me this means, have faith and act on it.
