I know their endorsements have added momentum to Kerry's campaign, but how can their endorsements help Kerry in the GE, especially in the South.

They don't seem to have helped him much in SC. I'm beginning to doubt the worth of high profile endorsements. They might help some, but in this election cycle, endorsements don't seem to have made much of a difference.
