What is the Democrats' plan for when Osama is captured?

We hear a lot of talk here about the possibility of OBL being rolled out or "captured" in time to give Bush an October bounce. Let's just say that does happen. Shouldn't the Democrats have a contingency plan in place to deal with that possibility? What suggestions might people here have?

P.S. This is a thread for positive suggestions. I don't want to hear lamentations of "we're screwed and there is nothing we can do about it."

4. We should start preempting that now

Give hints to the media that capturing him won't make us safer, and say that in rallies. Give other hints also. However, the one thing we can't innoculate ourselves from is if they "find" WMDs, then this whole thing blows up in our face.

What are the odds that Karl Rove will announce the capture of OBL before the Republican convention? I'd start book at 1:1 and see where the betting goes.

7. Just don't set ourselves up

You can't just wait for something to happen.

1. There are plenty of issues to hammer on besides OBL is still free. We don't need to remind anyone.

2. Offer positive ways to improve the use of intelligence data, regain international cooperation and respect in preventing terrorism.

3. Get to the bottom of Bush failures that led to 9-11. Ignored briefings and warnings, WH interference with FBI investigations, failure to pass warnings to FAA...

8. Answer: yay, we caught him!

He needed to be caught! Why did we waste a year of time, allow 100s of our children to be killed, 1,000s to be wounded, all while we spent a few hundred BILLION dollars chasing a tinpot dictator in Iraq? Why, instead of pursuing Bin Laden, did we tie up our military, our reserves, our National Guard in Iraq?? And where is the National Guard going to be in the event there IS another terrorist attack on America? In Iraq??? And this helps us how????

The best bet
Each and every candidate should not be asking the question why hasn't Osama been captured, but they should be demanding, calling, every day, for his capture.

This could benefit the Dem cause by making * look weak(er) and the Dems Bold in their stance. When * finally takes Osama off ice and shows us whay a good boy he is the Dems can say "thank you for doing your job. Why did it take so long?" Make the petulant child sweat it out until the election.

It would be surprising if * really doesn't have Osama and there was no October surprise, but I doubt that.
