We need Deanies! Dean and Deanie Tribute.
No matter who wins the nomination we need the energy and vigor of the Deanies. That is what can build this party and send Bush back to Texas. If Dean doesn't get the nomination, reach out to them and show some respect!

1. Don't worry... we're here...
And I recall Dean saying that the most important thing is to get shrub out of office. I couldn't agree more.

2. Quote?
I am a Dean Meetup Host (or I was) and would be interested in that quote in order to do a Deanie out reach e-mail. It is a good thing that all of my Deanies are on board with whom ever the nominee is. I really appreciate the movement as I was a part of it myself.

4. Sure, I'd be happy to! He said it on Larry King..
CALLER: Hi. Governor Dean, I have been so impressed by you ever since I saw you on "Meet the Press." And I'm going to my first Dean meeting this week. And my question for you is that many Democrats believe that if not for Ralph Nader staying in the election that we wouldn't have George Bush as a president.
So my question to you is, if you do not get the Democratic nomination, will you still run on the independent ticket?

DEAN: No, I will not.

CALLER: If so, how will that impact the upcoming race?

DEAN: I will not run as independent. I will support the nominee. It is essential that George Bush not be re-elected for the future of this country. It is essential for our economy. It's essential, so we can regain the respect we had around the world. And I will under no circumstances run as a third party and independent. I will back the nominee. I hope I am the nominee because I can bring about half those votes that voted for Ralph Nader back into the party. That's how we are going to win. And I think at this point there is no other evidence that any of the other candidates can do that and I think that's why I'm the most likely to beat George Bush.

You can read a transcript here...

Hope that helps (and GO DEAN!)

7. I doubt that someone who was involved enough to be a Meetup Host
would truly jump ship so lightly. It just doesn't float.

3. you know the enthusiasm won't transfer
My entusiasm was created because of Dean. Currently he is the only one that inspires me. The other candidates are boring. I'm 18 by the way. If dean drops out my enthusiasm is not transferable.

5. But wouldn't it be sweet
to have your first vote (I assume it will be your first vote) be the one that sends AWOL back to the private sector?

8. I think Dean is the person who can change the system the best
I don't follow this illusion of electibility. I follow my principles and anyways Dean is electible. I want real change not some double talk by a politician from washington

6. I don't appreciate being called a "Deanie", especially by a supporter
of another campaign. I'd appreciate it if you edited.
