Kosovo refugee reunites with man 'who brought peace'

LEBANON — Fitim Zeqiri says if it were up to the citizens of Kosovo, Wesley Clark's bid for the White House would be a cakewalk.

Fitim, 16, a Kosovo refugee, had a reunion of sorts here yesterday with the retired general — five years after first meeting and shaking the general's hand in the Balkan city of Pristina.

His arms around the shoulder of the general who commanded NATO forces during the war in Kosovo, Fitim said: ''Wesley Clark is a really good guy. He was the one who brought peace over there.

''Because of him, 3 million people living there have rights they never had and never dreamed about. … He is like a legend in Kosovo.''

''I will join the U.S. military, and maybe be the second Clark,'' Fitim said, when asked about his plans after high school.

1. TSU crowd sizes: Clark 350, Edwards 200
For what it's worth, from the same paper....

... Edwards told a crowd of about 200 at Tennessee State University. The North American Free Trade Agreement eliminated trade barriers with Mexico and Canada in 1993.

Clark had about 350 listeners at TSU on Wednesday night.
