to address the * administration's war crimes? The world is probably watching and waiting to see if we're going to finally do the right thing and make these thugs accountable. I think not only should these people be proscuted in the Hague, but we will never fully regain our international credibility until they are.

To dream that something like this could happen, you have to be indulging a naive fantasy about what the Democratic Party really is. It is NOT the party of Truth and Justice. It is the junior partner of the Republican Party, fully complicit with them in all their crimes. It has no interest whatever in "prosecuting" Republicans, any more than Tony Blair wants "investigations" of US lies about Iraq.

In fact, if anyone actually tried to push for such prosecutions, almost all Democrats would throw their weight against the idea.

3. It's not just Democrats and republicans

Its America. We have a long history of not owning up to our crimes.

I doubt a majority of the American people would support it even if they were shown dick and george giggling on a video tape admitting to everything. Shoot, the belief that Saddam had something to do with 9/11 still hovers near 50% to this day doesn't it?
