FLINT - Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean brought a sharpened populist message to Michigan today, saying only he would deliver universal health care because front runner Sen. John Kerry is too close to special interests.
``The question is, do you want a little change or a lot of change? If you want a lot of change, vote for Howard Dean,'' the former Vermont governor told about 200 cheering supporters at the University of Michigan-Flint this morning.

He said he would repeal the No Child Left Behind education act, saying it's based on the troubled Houston school system.
Dean also said he opposes tougher national gun control laws, and that those restrictions should be up to individual states.
He said his pro-gun stance would be a benefit in the November election.
``I've seen a lot of union members voting Republican over this issue even when it was not in their best economic interest,'' Dean said.
