Rhode Island Senate Race: Too Close
The issue of campaign finance reform is a double edged one. Sheldon Whitehouse has been a vocal supporter for such reform; however, behind the scenes much of the millions he has raised have come from the same industries he claims is hindering the middle class economy. Is this a prelude from the "bite from the apple" he would be seeking if successfully winning his primary in Rhode Island?

In a tongue in cheek 60 second commercial spoof on how this sense of entitlement reveals itself, Sheldon is shown as a Ken Doll wearing a tuxedo and royalty garb sitting atop monopoly money.

These issues and Sheldon's vascilating on his Iraq war stand have called into question his commitment to be a legacy for Rhode Islanders or simply his patrician self.

1. In the interest of full disclosure
shouldn't your post here note that you are running against Whitehouse? I know that it is in the link at the end of the dailykos article. Plus, do you have any polling to show us that you have ANY HOPE at all of beating Whitehouse in the Dem primary? Not attacking you, just asking. Also, if Whitehouse beats you, will you support him in the general election? Thanks for running, by the way. I admire anyone who sticks their neck out and runs for office.

7. Internal Polls and Survey USA
Before our tv ads in late July Sheldon had a 10 point lead with 40% undecided. We're seeing almost no movement since his $2 million ad buy blitz. As much is anecdotal. We forced him to debate. Our number of volunteers have tripled. They don't post polling data against us any longer.....

No intention to be deceptive. My name is clearly stated even in USER ID.

I will not do what Sheldon did to Myrth York in his lost gubernatorial race....

Thanks for your comments.

5. I live in the neighboring state
and think Sheldon Whitehouse would make the best senator. Laffey is beating Chaffee and would be a nightmare if he gets in. Just like Allen. Same mind set. I follow politics every day.

10. May I ask why?
Anybody with a $4 million warchest can make DC produced soundbites and polish the candidate, but you need to closely review their history... CLOSELY.

11. Laffey beating Chaffee is the best thing that could happen...
If Laffey wins the primary, he'll get butchered in the general election.

15. And we cannot let them go foolishly into Iran!
Looking at the entertainment news a little this week it is clear there is a bloodlust to invade Iran.

Islamo-fascists indeed!:sarcasm:

16. Iran = Draft = America's economic decline = China's gain
It's time to connect the dots and listen to people who have served.
