You know how Bush always says, "WE have to be right 100% of the time and the terrorists only have to be right once"? Maybe we should have an ad showing Bush saying this and then have a Dem. saying, "If we have to be right 100% of the time, why are we only checking 5% of our incoming cargo?"

It would be TRUE! And I think it would be effective-maybe showing things like the UAE ports deal with faces of the supposed 9/11 hijackers in the background, for example.

9. Another idea for Dem. ad:

Next-Show contrasting video clips of Bush standing under the "Mission Accomplished" banner while saying, "In the battle of Iraq, the United States and its allies have prevailed," followed by a recent clip of him saying it's going to be continued hard work to 'prevail.' Follow that with a clip of Rumsfeld saying, "The war in Iraq will take 6 days or 6 weeks, I doubt 6 months," followed by a recent clip of him saying he never said it would be easy. Follow THAT with a clip of Wolfowitz saying the Iraqi oil will be able to finance most of their reconstruction and relatively soon, and then a recent clip of an official giving the cost so far of the war. Then maybe do the same with a few other statements about wanting bin Laden then saying he just doesn't think about him much, etc. Then have a voice saying, "How can we trust anything these Repubs. say when everything they've said to date has been proven false?"
