Number Two Al Qaeda Operative killed or captured 39 Times in Iraq !?!?
At this point, "Number Two" capture or kill stories invoke more cynicism than they do anything else. Hell- even FReakers can be found mocking them. Remember the good old days of the "War On Drugs" (WOD)in the 80's and early 90's when big drug shipment busts made the national news and were touted as great "Victories" in the WOD?

Those got old after a decade and you almost never see a national story on big drug busts anymore. The WOD just became an institutional "war" that everyone knows will never end and certainly no politician is so stupid as to insult us with talk of ever "winning" it like they used to. It won't be long now before the "War On Terror" (WOT) fades into a sort of permanence with never any talk about "winning" it either.

The List is here:

1. Excellent resource, and certainly sheds light.
It's about time we saw this in perspective. How many Number-Two-Man-in-al-Qaeda arrests have we had? And has that made us any safer, or reduced the amount of terrorism OR of terrorists?

2. Exactly
I noted that yesterday when then mentioned on the radio while driving "#2" captured or killed or whatever it was. That job position, seems to have a high turnover rate.

5. When you're #2, you have to try harder.
And why isn't there more media discussion about #1? The only time the media mentions #1 is when the Republicans need a diversion from some bad news surrounding them.
There seems to be a never ending supply of #2s, but isn't #1 the guy we SHOULD be talking about? How's that "dead or alive" thing going there, georgie? Osama Bin Forgotten, and Bush's failure to ferret him out, should be the #1 story, not a slew of #2s.
