Missile fired at helicopter carrying US Senators (McCain), overseas visit
Edited on Mon Sep-04-06 10:49 AM by ProSense

Bumpy Ride?

First, in May 2005, there was a foiled grenade attack on President Bush when he visited the Republic of Georgia.

Tonight we learn there was a missile fired at McCain while he visited Georgia last week.

Perhaps Georgia isn't the safest tourist destination in the world for US politicians, you think?

While I'm at it, are American politicians sure they know what they are getting us into allying with the Georgians? Just asking.

Rebels tried to shoot down president, minister, US senators

U.S. Senate Delegation Led by Senator John McCain Sees “Tremendous Progress” in Georgia

On August 26-29, Senators John McCain (R-AZ), Saxby Chambliss (R-GA), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Mel Martinez (R-FL), Richard Burr (R-NC) and John Sununu (R-NH) completed an extensive tour of Georgia. The Delegation used the three-day visit to review sites and facilities indicative of Georgia’s ongoing democratic, economic and military reforms and to discuss the current state of Georgia’s frozen conflicts and NATO membership effort.

Due to the exorbitant levels of evil that this administration oozes,
we're forced to wonder what's really going on...what's really the story
beneath the story.

My guess. The foiled attempt on Junior was actually a staged farce--in
order to position the Republic of Georgia as a very high-risk, scary place.
That sets the stage for other politicians who might be sent there on "official
business."

McCain has been ticking off the administration lately. He's been actually
disagreeing with BushCo. Last week he made derogatory remarks about Junior's
handling of Iraq. He's also a front runner for the 08 Republican ticket
and he'd most likely dilute the neocon efforts. He's not a blue-blooded
PNACer--and they all know it.

They tried to take McCain out.

10. Yeah, but they would have taken out their Senate majority if that were
the case...the entire CODEL was GOP.

9. HOLY SHIT...an ENTIRELY GOP CODEL????
Usually, these things are bipartisan. It's usually three of one, and four of another.

Mean-spirited fuckers, those Republicans. My sympathy evaporated.

12. Since when did Mccain become a good will ambassador?
Why doesn't he sit on his ass in Arizona or Washington & get something positive done? The same goes with the rest of those assholes.

13. I'd guess this is a dog and pony show to keep McCain's goodwill up with
the public - never underestimate how many will sympathize with him on this, and admire his willingness to go to 'dangerous" places to do his duties.

Too bad he's lost his credibility with the rest of us who know his machinations.
