There is a new GOP campaign to get websites and blogs to display the flag as a banner on 9/11 and for homes to put the flag out on 9/11. There are several seemingly innocent websites that are showing the same exact text about this campaign, like these two:

"We do this in honor of those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and
abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms." In other words, this campaign will try to attach purpose to all the flag-waving on 9/11 and that purpose will be to say that the US citizens support the Iraq war.
It will be played out in the news media as public support for the war on terror (and Iraq). And liberals arguing against the logic will be treated like they are offending the 9/11 families. With all the mud-slinging that will go on, do you think Bush's approval rating will rise? Do you think more support will come for the GOP like they plan?
Could someone come up with a rational and nice response to the mass email going around?
